During the months of June, July and August, on average, about two fewer donors give blood at each Red Cross blood drive than what hospital patients need. This could add up to more than 100,000 fewer donations during the summer, but the need for blood remains constant. Your help is especially needed now to help avert a summer shortage. Donors of all blood types are encouraged to give - especially types O negative, A negative and B negative.
There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, July 2nd at the Reinbeck Memorial Building from 2:00 to 6:00. Appointments are not necessary, but if you do want to avoid a long wait, call Irma Thede at 788-2388, or Mary Lou Moser at 345-2810. Please try to donate, and bring a friend with you.
