Grundy Co. Relay for Life was held June 20-21.

Ryan Bru and Laura Ragsdale are planning a wedding on July 26.

Heather Wagner & Brian Ehrig, both of Traer, will be married Aug. 9 at the United Presbyterian Church in Traer.

Lloyd Davis, Reinbeck, died June 21 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

Leonard H. Prusha, 83, Tama, died June 24 at his home in Tama.

James M. Jensen, 63, Dinsdale, died at his home on June 18 in Dinsdale.

The Gladbrook Theater and Matchstick Marvels will be dedicated on June 28 at the Center.

Grundy Co. lake to open July 19 near Dike with picnicking, fishing and hiking/bicycle trail to come in the future.

Terry Pooley purchased Jim's Restaurant in Morrison.

Douglas Keith, 64, Hudson, died June 18 at the Grundy Care Center.

Rev. R. Collins, former Pastor at the UCC Church in Reinbeck died June 24.

Grace Shoup, 77, Reinbeck, died June 21 at Covenant Medical Center of a heart ailment.

Mr. & Mrs. Paul Robertson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 27.

Mr. & Mrs. Don Vogt of Gladbrook will observe their 37th wedding anniversary on July 10.

Rachel Mittler and Kevin Moynihan will be married on Oct. 2 at the UCC Church.

Lisa Claussen & Larry Burrage were married in a lawn wedding on June 11.

Mr. & Mrs. David Schildroth, Sioux City, are parents of a son born June 19.

Mr. & Mrs. David Hach are parents of a son born June 26.

Janella Enabnit & Rick Wood were married June 11.

Leona Eddy, 63, Waterloo, died June 28 from injuries received in a head on collison near Dysart.

Gordon Schuck, 52, formerly of Reinbeck, died June 21 at home in Boulder, Colo. of a stroke.

Tammy Wright, 5, daughter of Dr. & Mrs. Robert Wright of Reinbeck, reigns as 1973 Little Miss Reinbeck.

Mr. & Mrs. Raynold Goebel, Reinbeck, are parents of a son born June 22.

Jeffrey Lockwood, 22, Cedar Rapids, died at St. Luke's Hospital on June 25.

Mr. & Mrs. Charles Mumm will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on July 15.

Russell Dunn, 83, Reinbeck, died July 1 at Allen Hospital.

JUNE, 1963

Harry Ayer has been awarded a Rich Estate Advanced $400. Scholarship at Iowa State University.

Pastor Carl Krog, former Lutheran minister died in Chicago on June 25.

Charles Bartruff was arrested in Reinbeck on a warrant for carrying a concealed weapon and a loaded gun in car.

Robert Sheman, 50, Lincoln, was electrocuted near Union Grove Lake last week.

Mr. & Mrs. Gregg Moser were involved in an auto accident west of Cedar Rapids. Driver of the 2nd car was charged with improper turning.

Walt Thede sold his Culligan Soft Water business as of July 1 to J. McConnall of Waterloo.

Janice Stanley & James Keith were married on June 23.

Dixie Hopkins & Mark Schildroth were married on June 28.

Mr. & Mrs. John Sternberg are parents of a son born June 21.

Richard Mumm of Voorhies injured his back when a sand bag used as a weight on a hay fork fell on him.

Dedication of the new Baldwin Organ given to the Congregational Church by Mr. & Mrs. Alfon Strohbehn in memory of their daughter.

Paul (Bud) Robinson sold 80 acres north of Dike to Ted Jungling of Fern for $175 an acre.

Mr. & Mrs. Vern Hoeppner of Camp Attenburg are parents of a daughter born June 23.

Mr. & Mrs. Edward Philp, Traer, are parents of a daughter born July 1.

JUNE, 1943

Duane Jans who lives between Reinbeck & Morrison has a different kind of pet raccoon and it has become quite tame.

Albert Porter, Jr., Lyman Juhl, Nels Sager and Virtus Schmidt asked for raises at Pioneer plant, but because of the restrictions by the War Labor Board they were refused so they all quit their jobs.

Myrna Strohbehn became the bride of Paul Schaff of Comanche on June 30.

Lorna Ramsey & Paul Robertson were married on June 25.
