Our second summer reading event, held on June 12, was storytelling and music by Mike Anderson, also known as The Dulcimer Guy. A large group of children and adults enjoyed his program. The next, and last event for summer reading will be held at the Memorial Building on Wednesday, June 27 at 2:00. This will be the "IncredibleBats" a program complete with live bats. This event is free and open to the public.

We have several new books purchased with memorial money for Patricia J. Petersen: Sherlock Holmes and the Needle's Eye: the worlds greatest detective tackles the Bible's ultimate mysteries by Len Bailey, Bannon Brothers: Trust and Bannon Brothers: Triumph both by Janet Dailey, The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom, And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini, Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline, Son by Philipp Meyer, The Face of the Earth by Deborah Raney, Homeplace by JoAnn Ross and Better to Wish by Ann M. Martin. We also have a book in memory of Don Dirks, given by Fran Davis and Jerry Wimer: Antiques and Collectibles 2013 Price Guide (Antique Trader).
