The staff of Gladbrook-Reinbeck school was honored at a year end breakfast hosted by the Board of Education on June 3rd. Staff members were recognized for their years of service.
The honorees were: 20 years - Kim Thompson, nurse; 15 years - Helen Adair, high school associate; Sally Lennard, high school instructor; Al Mittler - bus driver; Diane Staker, elementary instructor; Connie Wood, food service; 10 years - Brenda Snider, elementary associate; Diane Stephan, food service director; 5 years - Chris Kuehl, high school instructor; Tim Kuehl, superintendent; Jeff Mayes, high school instructor; Tristan Switzer, high school instructor; Cassie Wheeler, special education instructor; and Jerry Widdel, custodian.
Retirees were also recognized. This year five staff members are retiring. Kayla Reese, special education instructor is retiring after 34 years of service to the district. Barb Schwarck, middle school instructor and Vicki Roberts, high school instructor, are retiring after 33 years of service to the district. Darrell Paustian, custodian at Gladbrook campus, retired after 27 years of service and Candi Smith, Reinbeck Elementary secretary, is retiring after 19 years of service to the district.
