Parkinson’s disease support group

June 2, 2013
Reinbeck Courier

People with Parkinson's disease and their families are welcome to attend the Parkinson's Support Group Meeting. It will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Classroom 10 at Covenant Medical Center, 3421 West 9th Street, Waterloo. Use the Women's and Outpatient Center Entrance and take the elevator to 4th floor. Speaker Gayle Boekep, Program Manager with Telecommunications Access Iowa, will discuss barrier-free telephones. Being able to communicate, even if you have some hearing loss or speech impairment, is invaluable. Today it is easier than ever before, thanks to new technology advancements in telephones and Telecommunications Access Iowa, a program of the Iowa Utilities Board. People with Parkinson's or any movement disorders, their family, friends and anyone interested in learning more about these disorders is welcome to attend. Please call Terry Hertges 319-239-6865 if you have questions.
