The following won children's books or dvds in our drawing for Children's Book Week: Michael Boyd, Lydia Bystricky, McKenna Cooper, Vanessa Ersland, Emma Fleshner, Wes Latchman, Delaney Petersen, Dylan Riffey, Luke Riffey, Alice Roose, Anna Roose, Austin Roum, Bennett Sieh, Elly Sieh, Levi Sieh, Laura Sonnek, Leila Thesing and Nick Tscherter.

Children who were in the 6th grade and under this year may now sign up for summer reading. The theme this year is Dig into Reading. Four events are planned for every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. The first program is a magic show by Curtis Alan Hed. It will be held in the Legion Room of the Memorial Building on June 5th.

New items at the library this week include a large print book, The Aviator's Wife by Melanie Benjamin, which is purchased with memorial money for Lavina Rohach from Don and Beth Dirks.

Other books include What We Talk About When We Talk About God by Rob Bell, Cheyenne Amber by Catherine Anderson, Inferno by Dan Brown, Cat Nap by Claire Donally, Video Kill by Joanne Fluke and Bad Faith by Robert Tanenbaum.

New dvds include three LeapFrog titles for children: Let's Go to School, The Letter Factory and The Talking Words Factory. These dvds may be checked out for a two week period. The dvds were donated by the Roose family.

New books for children include Brave Girl by Michelle Markel, Force Out by Tim Green, The Meanest Birthday Girl by Josh Schneider, Bramble and Maggie by Jessie Haas and Like Bug Juice on a Burger by Julie Sternberg.
