Last week the Gladbrook-Reinbeck seniors were recognized and awarded for their many accomplishments as well as being given many scholarships from individuals, companies and trust funds.

Val Ehlers and Alan Tscherter presented the Dollars for Scholars scholarships. DFS was started in 1993 and since then $355,000 has been given to 798 graduates. This year $13,000 was awarded to the following recipients: Taylor Flamme - Cordell and Sandra Peterson; Aleah Schuman, Gethmann Construction; Sabrina Biggs, Pioneer Seed; Sidney Dilly, Goos Implement; Alexander Schick, DFS; Erin Wentzien, Ed & Lucille Karkosh and Farm Bureau Financial Services; Trevor Trunck, Gethmann Foundation; Cortney Crozier, Moeller & Walter; Paige Kromas, Elsie Mastain and Vern & Julie Knaack; Callie Kuehl, Phil & Nancy Lauterbach and Parkview Manor; Rachel Bown, Cordell & Sandra Peterson and Grundy Co REC; Breanna Schlictmann, Lincoln Savings Bank and Peterson Construction; Emily Snider, Lincoln Savings Bank and Peterson Construction; Kayli Folkerts, Total Source Molders and Peterson Construction; John Etringer, Russell & Lucille Lamb and Harold & Mary Henderson; Logan Koester, Rose & Richard Bruene Ag Scholarship and Smoldt Seed; Kayla Fobian, Pat Arp Memorial and DFS; Abbie Walton, Jan Koester Memorial and DFS; Colin Kern, Roy & Ella Staker Memorial and DFS; and Madison Corwin, Tscherter Family and Peterson Construction.

Sabrina Biggs who plans to attend UNI - Excellence in Science Award and Don & Rosie Porter Scholarship.

Rachel Bown plans to attend NIACC - Russell & Nellie Dunn Scholarship; Waterloo Education Association Scholarship and cross country sportsmanship award.

Jackson Clark - Gustav Treimer Memorial Scholarship; Bryce Mercer Scholarship; Vernice Schelling Memorial and soccer sportsmanship award.

Madison Corwin plans to attend ISU - T-R Leaders of Tomorrow Award, Governor's Scholarship Recognition; KWWL/KWOI TV Best of Class; Excellence in Spanish Award; Wrestling cheerleading sportsmanship award; Don & Dorothy Keith Scholarship and Russell & Nellie Dunn Scholarship.

Cortney Crozier - Excellence in Drama Award and basketball cheerleading sportsmanship award.

Riley Dahms - Hometown Foods scholarship.

Sidney Dilly plans to attend Hawkeye Community College - Don & Rosie Porter Scholarship and Gladbrook American Legion Auxiliary.

Taylor Flamme plans to attend Wartburg College - US Marines Distinguished Athlete award; Elsie Miller-Palmer & Ben Miller Scholarship; Gladbrook American Legion; Alexandria Keller Memorial Scholarship and basketball sportsmanship award.

Kayla Fobian plans to attend Coe College - US Marines Semper Fidelis Award for musical excellence; Don & Rosie Porter Scholarship; Excellence in speech; Kelly Sager Memorial; Anton Nielsen Scholarship; Coe College Music Scholarship; and Daniel Coe Scholarship.

Kayla Folkerts plans to attend ISU - Iowa State Bar Association Citizenship award; United States Marines Scholastic excellence; ISU Multi-Cultural Vision Program award; Excellence in Technology Award; and Elsie Miller-Palmer & Ben Miller Scholarship; Don & Beth Dirks Scholarship and soccer sportsmanship award.

Austin Harris - Excellence in P E award and Excellence in Art award.

Allen Heise - District Character Award and Excellence in Vocal award.

Logan Koester plans to attend Kirkwood Community College - Don & Rosie Porter Scholarship; FFA Scholarship and basketball sportsmanship award.

Paige Kromas plans to attend ISU - Elsie Miller-Palmer & Ben Miller Scholarship; Gladbrook American Legion scholarship; Reinbeck Women's Scholarship; and cheerleading football sportsmanship award,

Callie Kuehl plans to attend Central College - Excellence in Social Studies award; Elsie Miller-Palmer & Ben Miller Scholarship and golf sportsmanship award.

Alex Schick plans to attend Hawkeye Community College - Excellence in Vo Ag award and Frei Family Trust.

Breanna Schlichtman plans to attend UNI - Elsie Miller-Palmer & Ben Miller Scholarship.

Aleah Schuman plans to attend Indian Hills College - Don & Rosie Porter Scholarship.
