Anna Wieben, 91, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Reinbeck, while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. Memorial services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Reinbeck, Iowa, with Rev. Joel Love officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Reinbeck Cemetery in Reinbeck, Iowa. Visitation will be Saturday, May 18, 2013, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to the family to be distributed to community charities. Anna Ingerslev Miller was born March 12, 1922, in Kimballton, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew J. and Ida (Ingerslev) Miller. Anna grew up in rural Audubon County attended country school through the 8th grade. In 1939 she moved with her sister to Waterloo and worked various jobs. On February 20, 1946, Anna was united in marriage to Lester Wieben at the Wieben family farm near Reinbeck. After marriage they lived, worked and raised a family on a farm near Reinbeck until 1983 when they moved to Reinbeck. She was member United Church of Christ, the Merry Maids and The Gang.
Anna enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling, gardening and attending Iowa State women's basketball games. Most of all her family was a priority in her life.
She is survived by her son, Melvin Wieben of Lincoln, Neb.; daughter, Nancy Wieben and her husband Steve Kavka of Rochester, Minn..
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; daughter, Susan; and two sisters, Elva and Erna.
