Frank A. Boyce, 93, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls. He was born December 29, 1919 in Waterloo, the son of Alto and Elsie (Beener) Boyce. Frank married Gertrude L. Luloff January 15, 1942 at Jesup, Iowa and she preceded him in death December 26, 2008. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He worked for Rath Packing Company, retiring in 1981.
Frank is survived by four sons: Ronald (Dayle) Boyce, of Minneapolis, Minn., Dave (Nylene) Boyce, of Cedar Falls, Pastor Bruce (Brenda) Boyce, of Reinbeck, Iowa and Byron (Carol) Boyce, of Dysart, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Frank Boyce; five brothers, Alto, Arden, Charlie, Rev. Fred and Melvin Boyce; and one sister, Darlene Schoenfield.
Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Ascension Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation was held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2013 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls and one hour before services at the church on Tuesday.
