Charlotte Huisman, 70, Grundy Center died April 12 at the Grundy Co. Memorial Hospital in the long-term unit.

Bernard Eilderts, 59, Grundy Center, died April 10.

Gretta Rust, 89, Grundy Center, passed away April 10 at the Grundy Care Unit.

Ardelle Sloan, Traer, died April 11 at Friendship Village in Waterloo.

Matilda Spieker, 79, formerly of Wellsburg, died April 13 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Fire destroyed a garage, two cars and music sound equipment at the Gerald Hoepner farm south of Reinbeck.

Gene Hultman, Voorhies area farmer, required 21 stitches in his leg when a disc he was sharpening came loose.

790 adults & children took the Sabin oral polio vaccine at the Elementary School.

Donna Cannon was elected financial secretary of the National Hairdresser & Cosmetologist Association of Iowa.

Vickie Thede, junior, at Reinbeck High School has been chosen to represent the American Legion Auxiliary.

Mr. & Mrs. Gayle Lorenz of Webster City, are parents of a son born April 17.

Mr. & Mrs. Don Dinsdale are parents of a daughter born April 23.

Harry Boege, 59, Gladbrook, died April 20.

Mr. & Mrs. George Andorf are parents of a son born April 17.

A 190 car freight train pulled by nine diesel units, the longest train ever to pass thru Reinbeck, did so on Wednesday of last week.

Dennis Greiner, son of Mr. & Mrs. Joe Greiner, broke a toe on his left foot caused by a tractor mower lift.
