This year on May 22nd the American Cancer Society will turn 100 years old! Help celebrate a century of savings lives this summer at the Grundy County Relay For Life on June 14th form 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. at the Grundy Center High School track.
With your support, you have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating research findings into action, there's been a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s. Whether it's medications to help people live longer and better, or the most promising screening tests, there have been major cancer breakthroughs in recent history. Your help supports the best ideas of the brightest cancer researchers. Sixty years ago, 1 out of 3 people diagnosed with cancer survived at least 5 years. Today, thanks in part to the work of the American Cancer Society, 2 out of 3 will survive.
