Trunck’s Country Foods Save-N-Share program

February 24, 2013
Sue Trunck , Reinbeck Courier

For over 18 years Trunck's Country Foods has given money in support of our community through a program called Save-N-Share. The money goes to non-profit organizations in our communities. The volunteers that make up these organizations are appreciated and what they give back to our community is very valuable. This is Trunck's Country Foods way of saying thank you to both our customers for loyalty in shopping with us and to the organizations that benefit our communities. This year a total of $5,000.00 was given to these organizations.

How does Save-N-Share work? 1% of each purchase you make at Trunck's Country Foods is donated to the organization that the customer chooses. Trunck's donates the money, not the customer. You give without any cost to you.

How do you support Save-N-Share? By telling the clerk every time you shop at Trunck's Country Foods that you want your receipt to be donated to the organization of your choosing. Please tell the clerk at the beginning of your purchase where you want your purchase to help.

Who benefits from Save-N-Share? You. By selecting one of the organizations, you help its members and our community. This help extends miles and miles beyond our boarders. The non-profit organizations involved are: Amity Church, 4th of July, Reinbeck Community Club, St. John's Lutheran Church Dorcas Society, Eastern Star, G-R Athletic Boosters, G-R Dollars for Scholars, G-R Fine Arts Boosters, G-R High School Science Dept., Grundy Country Memorial Hospital Foundation, IMPACT, United Methodist Church, New Life Assembly of God, Presbyterian Church, Reinbeck Day Care, Reinbeck Preschool, St. Gabriel's Holy Family Parish and United Church of Christ.

We have a cap of the number of organizations, to ensure the best benefit to each participant and rotate them as new requests come in to keep the program vibrant.

For 2012 our top recipient is the United Methodist Church.

It is important to support these organizations to help keep our community growing and thriving!
