Following the tragic school shooting at Sandyhook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, high school student council members at G-R decided to start a coin drive.
Each member took a bag around the school for a week collecting change from the other students. At the end of the drive, the student council raised a total of $210.
This money will go towards helping the elementary school and the families of the victims.
