The Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education is accepting applications for $2,000 scholarships to be awarded to students interested in careers in the automobile industry. Applications can be downloaded from www.IADA.com and are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013.
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be committed to the pursuit of a career in an automobile dealership. Potential career paths include working as a technician, salesperson, accountant, marketing specialist, or in business administration.
"Iowa's auto industry provides many well-paying jobs in a variety of areas of expertise," said Mary Cason, executive vice president of the Foundation. "The Foundation scholarships help make the dream of higher education a reality for the next generation of dealership employees."
Recipients of the scholarships will be announced in May 2013.
