It's looking a lot like Christmas at the library. In the display case, we have some of Kris Barnes Butterfields Vintage Christmas decorations. The children's section upstairs is ready for Christmas, thanks to decorating by Sue Messerly, Carolyn Ehlers, Connie Miller and Mary Loynachan (these ladies also did some decorating on the main floor as well). Ann Rae Billerbeck and Cherie Eckhoff have the bulletin boards decorated too. While on the subject of decorating, many of you have noticed that the children's section got a real make over during the summer, with the tree house repainted, the reading bathtub updated and some new decorations including two larger than life wooden characters: Clifford the Big Red Dog and The Cat in the Hat which were made and given by Ray Rannfeldt. We appreciate the following people who gave of their time and talents to redo the upstairs: David and Julie Russell-Steuart, Kathy Etringer, Marion Boyer, Sue Messerly, Carolyn Ehlers , Mary Loynachan, and Connie Miller. Also appreciated are Paul and Jan Ehrig and family who have donated a bench and redone the front section outside of the library; Dave, George, and Bryce Ehlers, who worked on the outdoor project, and the Paul Plaehn family who donated a bench in his memory.

Mardel Brockett did a Pete The Cat story time on November 27. The next story time will be held on Tuesday, December 11th at 10:00. Michele Knaack will do the program.
