Dr Jerrod Keith, head of the Plastic Surgery Team at the University of Iowa made news recently when he and his surgical team replanted the hand of Roger Batchelder of LaPorte City, after the hand was severed in a chain saw accident.
Dr. Keith is the son of Richard and Diane Keith of Preston, Minn. Richard graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1973. Marlys Keith living east of Reinbeck is his grandmother.
