S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions) at Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School will be hosting a community-wide event later this month, and they need your help! On Monday, October 22nd, from 3:30-7:00 p.m., the students will be traveling door to door throughout Reinbeck Trick-O-Treating for canned goods.
The majority of the students will be dressed in costumes, so if a kid comes knocking at your door all dressed up, don't reach for the candy, but go grab your canned goods!
Any types of goods will be taken-they don't get picky! The more the merrier, too, so give willingly! If you would like to give, but are not at home during that time period, the students can still stop by and pick up your goods. Just leave the canned goods on your porch/front step with a note marking that it's for the S.A.D.D. Trick-O-Treaters.
All goods collected that day will be donated to the Tama County Food Pantry. Their food will be given to the food pantry at the Gladbrook Methodist Church, located down in their basement. Save the date, save up your canned goods, and donate to this wonderful cause!
