Homecoming is scheduled for Sept. 24. Homecoming Court consists of Brittney Bicket, Jenny Koele, Amy Koester, Chesley Larsen, Allie Linder, Weston Hulst, Shane Peters, Tarrence Petersen, Michael Sires and Chris Thede.

Lincoln Savings Bank adds 2 new staff, Mike McCrary as database administrator and Melissa Draper as a loan documentation specialist.

Mr. & Mrs. Gerald (Robby) Robinson will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 29 with an open house at the Memorial Bldg.

Mr. & Mrs. Brent Evenson are parents of a daughter born Sept. 14.

Lola Kuhleman, 94, Traer, died Sept. 11 at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama.

Ruth Krull, 92, Reinbeck, died Sept. 15 at the Grundy Co. Memorial Hospital.

Henry D "Chink" Geerdes, 86, Cedar Falls, died Sept. 15 at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center.


SEPT. 24, 1992

Delta Industries is awarded a state loan to add a 60x250 ft. building to their company.

Homecoming King & Queen Wayne Haskovec and Bobbi Storey, were crowned on Sept. 17.

Reinbeck Police Chief, Dennis Keeler pulled up several wild marijuana plants in an area near the Izaak Walton gun range.

Viola Lovell, Reinbeck, celebrated her 92nd birthday on Sept. 17.

Jolene Clapp Myers of West Des Moines was awarded a degree from AIB.

Charles L. Plumb, 85, Reinbeck, died Sept. 19 at Mira Loma, Calif.

Services for Elmer S. Newton, 87, Grundy Center, were held Sept. 16 at the United Methodist Church.

Services for Manton Bakker, 90, Ackley, were held at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center.

Henrietta Franken, 96, Grundy Center, died Sept.16 at the Grundy Co. Memorial Hospital.

Don & Florence Schildroth were recipients of a birthday gift from their children in the form of a hot air balloon ride.

Queenie Droese, 91, died Sept. 28 at Parkview Manor.

Funeral services for Logan Cooley, former Morrison resident, were held Sept. 21.

Funeral services for Roger Schroeder, 64, Gladbrook, were held Sept. 29.

Denise McIntyre and Chris Coulter, both of Reinbeck, were married Sept. 18.

Cheryl Terfehn of Holland and Thomas Hansen, Reinbeck, announce their upcoming wedding on Nov. 13.

Mr. & Mrs. Tom Iezek of Voorhies are parents of a daughter born Sept. 20.

Mr. & Mrs. Don Stephan celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at the Memorial Bldg. on Sept. 26.

Jody Sells, Reinbeck and Larry Nielsen, Dike were married on Sept. 6.

Velma Petersen and William L Herring exchanged vow on Sept. 16.

Lawaynna Claussen was extended special honors on Sept. 25 by the members of the Arnquist Pioneers for her 14 years as an adult leader.

Mr. & Mrs. Edward Wieben of Iowa City mourn the loss of their first born child born on Sept. 23.

John Blohm, 69, died at a Waterloo hospital on Sept. 20.

Mr. & Mrs. Dexter Hake of Iowa City are parents of boy-girl twins born Sept. 23.

Mr. & Mrs. Ed Sieh are parents of a daughter.

Mr. & Mrs. Iner Larsen are parents of a daughter born Sept. 15.

Eunice Baumgarten, Waterloo and Charles Neil were married on Sept. 21.

Henry Landt, Gladbrook and Helen Novak of Leavenworth, Kan. were married on Sept. 16.


SEPT. 1942

Clara Koch and Lester Kaufman were married on Sept. 20.

Edna Petersen, Hudson, and Herman Dufel were married on Sept. 10.

Rev. O. Sandback is named pastor of the Methodist Church. Rev. O.R. Jones was transferred to Sheffield.

Henry Stange, 76, Reinbeck, died at his home on Sept. 19.
