Matthew Coulter named Bureau Chief of Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services

Des Moines, Iowa Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IVRS) is pleased to announce the promotion of Matthew Coulter to Bureau Chief of the Administrative Services Bureau. Matt has served as Chief Financial Officer of IVRS since 1999. He will continue in his position of CFO, as well as taking over duties as Bureau Chief.

IVRS Administrator, David Mitchell, expressed excitement regarding Coulter's solid financial and administrative background which included previous bureau level management experience, his passion for service and his already demonstrated commitment to the IVRS mission and guiding principles. "His service minded approach combined with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills provides a great fit for our agency. He has definite attributes that will help provide guidance and oversight not only to the administrative bureau, but be a valuable asset in the expanding areas of vocational rehabilitation/employment for individuals with disabilities and for our Disability Determination Services Bureau."

Matt is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Marketing. He is a Certified Government Financial Manager through the Association of Government Accountants.

Matt's career in State Government has spanned more than 29 years; beginning in the Commerce Commission, then in the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Education before joining IVRS.

A lifelong Iowa resident, Matt, his wife and two children reside in West Des Moines. He grew up in Reinbeck, Iowa and his parents reside in Traer, Iowa.
