TAMA - South Tama improved to 6-2 overall with a sweep of Gladbrook-Reinbeck in the NICL West opener, winning 25-13, 25-16, 25-22.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck (0-2, 0-1) was led by Shelton Hatch with six kills and 10-for-11 serving with two aces. Britney Keller contributed four kills and was 6-for-8 serving with an ace.
Erin Wentzien served 10-for-12 with an ace, and Taylor Weida totaled a team-high seven assists in the loss. Alyssa Christopher paced G-R with eight digs and Sidney Dilly had seven.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck hosts BCLUW on Thursday, while South Tama entertains AGWSR.
