Grand Champion honors were awarded Thursday in the FFA Market and Carcass Lamb shows at the 2012 Iowa State Fair.
Tanner Berry of Sac City showed the Grand Champion FFA Market Lamb, and Brendan Kuesel of Victor took Reserve Grand Champion in the show.
In the carcass judging, Tyler Leete of Elk Horn was awarded Champion honors, and Chase Whetstone of Gilbert exhibited Reserve Champion Carcass Lamb. FFA no longer holds a live Champion Carcass show.
The judges saw 379 animals from 140 exhibitors.

Berry's and Leete's prize-winners, as well as 12 other livestock champions, will be auctioned in the prestigious Sale of Champions on Saturday, August 18, at 2 p.m. in the Penningroth Media Center of the Cattle Barn. The event is sponsored by the Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement, a non-profit organization established to encourage the pursuit of agriculture-related careers by Iowa's youth.
