Janet Slessor - Librarian , Reinbeck Courier

New at the library: DVD: Hatfields & McCoys (a one week checkout).

Nonfiction: Muskrat for Supper and The Old-time River Rats both by Kenny Salwey, The Dog With the Old Soul by Jennifer Basye Sander.

Fiction: Don't Say a Word by Beverly Barton, Nowhere to Run by Nancy Bush, Coffin Man by James Doss, The Vision by Dean Koontz, Big Sky Mountain by Linda Lael Miller, One Mountain Away by Emilie Richards, These is My Words (Shirley Billerbeck memorial) by Nancy Turner.

Large print (Shirley Billerbeck memorials): Friends Forever by Danielle Steel, and Lots of Candles Plenty of Cake by Anna Quindlen.

Stop in the library and see the Al Bell memories currently displayed on the bulletin board. Al Bell was a man who traveled the world, then gave presentations at Iowa schools in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. We would like to get more memories to put up. An Al Bell program, sponsored by the library will be held at Westview at 1:30 (note time change) on Thursday, September 13. The public is invited. The program will be given by Al's daughters Becky and Rhea, and will feature one of Al's original films. There will be a time for sharing memories, questions and answers.
