Community members who play an orchestral instrument are invited to polish their skills and audition to be part of the Wartburg Community Symphony and Wartburg Chamber Orchestra.
Auditions will take place Tuesday, September 4, in room 108 of the Fine Arts Center on the Wartburg College Campus in Waverly. A typical audition lasts between five and seven minutes.
Wind instrumentalists will be scheduled from noon to 2 p.m., brass players from 2 - 4 p.m., and strings from 4:30 - 7 p.m. Alternate audition times may be scheduled upon request.
Auditions are optional for community members who have previously played in the orchestra.

Wartburg Community Symphony rehearses on Mondays from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wartburg Chamber Orchestra meets on Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:40-4:50 p.m.
Dr. Daniel Kaplunas, music director and conductor of both orchestras, said, "I hope that community members who enjoy playing an orchestral instrument will consider joining one or both of the orchestras."
