Tammy and Rodney Greiner provided bottle water for all participants. They couldn't provide this positive community activity without the help of sponsors. Also the G-R High School student volunteers did a lot of work including serving at the pancake breakfast, registering racers, timing and way finding along the race course.
The race began with the national anthem led by Dan Reisner. Jim Peterson led the race on bicycle keeping the racers on course. The ambulance crew cruised the race course monitoring participants in the heat and humidity.
While race results were compiled kids were asked to participate in a fun run. Children ages 2 through 8 years participated this year. Once they crossed the finish line they received a medal and fruit snack.
