End of life continuing education program

WATERLOO Cedar Valley Hospice is pleased to announce an upcoming program, "Ethical Considerations in Palliative Care." This program will be held on Wednesday, July 25 from 12 -2 p.m. at Prairie Lakes church in Cedar Falls. A light lunch will be provided. The intended audience is professionals who work with individuals nearing the end of life. No pre-registration is required and the program is being offered at no charge. Nurses who attend the entire program, are able to receive 0.24 CEUs. Social workers and other healthcare professionals will receive a certificate of attendance.

The speaker for this program will be Rev. Bill Carpenter, MDiv, MA from Cedar Valley Hospice. The program will discuss some of the current ethical dilemmas faced by healthcare professionals who work in palliative and end-of-life care.
