Blood donors responded in spite of the hot weather

July 15, 2012
Mary Lou Moser , Reinbeck Courier

Thursday, July 5th was a HOT day in Reinbeck, but in spite of the heat, the loyal blood donors showed up to donate to the Red Cross blood drive. No one could have guessed we would have such a positive response the day after a big holiday and with the scorching heat. Even though the line was long and the wait time was longer than we wished, we had a HUGE turnout.

The goal set for this drive was 36 pints of blood, but the Reinbeck donors outdid themselves, and 50 pints were collected that day. Way to go, Reinbeck!

The patient donors, and the wonderful volunteers who helped that day, made the day a HUGE SUCCESS. The next Red Cross blood drive will be Thursday, December 27th.
