On June 6, we held our first summer reading event, The Storm Chasers, at the Memorial Building. It was well attended, and informative. The next event will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20th at the Memorial Building. It will be a program done by the Science Center of Iowa.
The summer reading program is open to children who were in the sixth grade and under during the school year. By reading, or being read to, they may earn books, coupons for free movie rental and or ice cream at Truncks and have a chance at winning various prizes in a drawing. The events held are free and open to the public.
