Representative Pat Grassley (R-New Hartford) received a key endorsement in the Republican primary election for the newly redistricted House District 50 seat on Tuesday, June 5. The National Rifle Association recognized Pat's longtime support of an Iowan's Second Amendment Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
"I am honored to have the support of the NRA," Grassley said. "I am proud of my work defending the Second Amendment here in Iowa. It seems government is always trying to encroach on our civil liberties. I've never been bashful about standing on the front lines to defend freedom and I look forward to being a staunch advocate of the Second Amendment and Constitution for years to come."
Pat received the NRA's endorsement letter earlier this week from Pete Brownell, a Board Member of the NRA and CEO of Brownells, Inc. Brownells is based in Motezuma, IA and is the world's largest supplier of firearm parts and accessories. "Pat is solid on the Second Amendment and Constitution. I am hopeful those in Butler, Grundy and Hardin counties get out to vote for him on June 5 to represent them in the new Iowa House District 50 seat. Pat works hard and will serve us all well," said Brownell.

"In this critical time it is vital that Iowa gun owners have a strong powerful guardian of our rights in the Statehouse. Pat Grassley is exactly that person. He has always earned the very top rating possible from NRA and we can count on him when the chips are down." said Kayne Robinson, Past President of the National Rifle Association.
Along with Pat's strong votes in support of our Second Amendment rights, he has never missed a vote on the House floor in his six years as a State Representative. While not farming at home outside of New Hartford, Pat serves in the Iowa State Legislature as Chairman of the powerful Economic Growth Committee, and sits on the Commerce, Ways and Means, and Economic Development Budget Committees.
