Kathy Manley, 42, Cedar Falls, died June 1 at Covenant Medical Center.

Mr. & Mrs. Milton Voelker celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on June 4.

Annette Swangel & James D. McFarland were united in marriage on May 16 in Marshalltown.

Mr. & Mrs. Brad Ohrt are parents of a daughter born May 23.

A benefit breakfast was held on June 14 for Bruce & Judy Theesefeld family of Grundy Center to help defray costs for Judy who is experiencing serious complications of diabetes.

Mr. & Mrs. John Hooper, Reinbeck, observed their 50th wedding anniversary on June 20. They were married June 13, 1932 in Waterloo.

Mr. & Mrs. George Glasener observed their 64th wedding anniversary on June 5.

Gloria Siefken, Reinbeck, and Thomas Miller of East Moline, Ill. announce their engagement and approaching marriage on Aug. 7.

Delmar Cooley, 17, Private in the U.S. Marine Corps is reported to be a prisoner of the Japanese somewhere near China.

Louis Baker, 28, died at his home in Morrison on May 23 of a lingering illness.

Mr. & Mrs. James Paton, Dinsdale, are parents of a son born May 31.
