Dear Editor;

I have had the good fortune of watching Annette Sweeney grow from a boisterous teenager to an accomplished mother, business woman and legislator.

Many of you know that I have been active in Republican activities for many years. As a family friend, it was my pleasure to assist her in fulfilling her political curiosity. Annette worked for years as a campaign worker, as a central committee member and as she learned, a valued contributor to the county, district, and state platform committees.

Annette has always been a tireless servant to her family, her church and her community, and in 2008 she became a State Representative. She took to Des Moines with an unequaled work ethic making this part time position a year-round effort. Hardin County residents know first-hand that Annette is on the job 24-7 and has done much more than just push the voting button at her desk. She can be found on any given day in the school buildings, coffee shops and work places of her constituents seeking input for pending legislation.

Annette is a dedicated servant of the area and has proven it many times with the bills that she has presented. I've been a witness to the great respect given Representative Sweeney by her peers. Her endorsement is highly sought by legislators. It is an esteem she garnered the old fashioned way she earned it.

We need to keep the proven leadership skills that Representative Sweeney has working in our district. Please go vote for Annette Sweeney on June 5th.
