Sheridan and Mary Lou Downey spent a Friday evening in Ankeny attending Maddie Muhlenbruck's graduation reception. Maddie graduated from Ankeny High School, and the ceremony was held at noon in the Knapp Center on the Drake campus in Des Moines.
Maddie is the daughter of Anne Birdsell Muhlenbruck of Ankeny and granddaughter of Harry and Jackie Birdsell of Hampton.
