MARCH 28, 2002

Dream Pool winners Ana Buss and Nicole Vieth, were winners of the Dream Pool contest as part of the kickoff for the pool fundraiser.

Heather Halbfass and Grant Ogle announce plans for their wedding on May 4 at the United Methodist Church in Reinbeck.

Mr. & Mrs. Cal Turner celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on March 25.

Mr. & Mrs. Bill Ragsdale observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 24 with a family dinner.

Agnes Hlas, 90, Tama, died March 20 at Grandview Acres in Toledo.

Donna Meyer, 71, Wellsburg, died March 24 at her home.

George Caslavka, 76, Clutier, died March 2 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.


APRIL 9, 1992

Services for Roger Davis, 60, a former Dike resident, were held April 2.

Lois Cathcart, 79, Dike, died March 30 and services were held on April 2.

Raymond Lynn, 86, Grundy Center, died March 28. Services were held on April 1.

Roger Mock, 52, Grundy Center, died April 5 of an apparent heart attack. Services were held April 8.

Jeanette C. Jensen, 73, Dike, passed away on April 4 at Covenent Medical Center and services were held on April 7.

Mr. & Mrs. Lyle Wulf, Hudson, will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on April 11.

Jolene Clapp & Kenny Meyer announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Annette Swangel & James McFarland announce their May 16 wedding date.


APRIL 15, 1982

Larry Gauger resigns position on Reinbeck City Council effective May 1.

Mr. & Mrs, Bill Branham, Reinbeck, announce adoption of a son born March 17.

Mr. & Mrs. Warren Nabor, Manchester, formerly of Reinbeck, became adoptive parents of a daughter born March 10.

Mr. & Mrs. Roland Dew are parents of a son born March 30.

Lisa Hood & Bruce Steffen are parents of a daughter born April 7.


APRIL 13, 1972

Paul E. Robinson, 66, died April 5 of a heart attack playing golf at Oakleaf Country Club.

Vicki L. Harmsen became the bride of Ronald E. Small on April 9 at Amity Church.

George Geerdes, 74, Wellsburg died April 5 at Allen Hospital.


APRIL, 1962

Reinbeck School Board buys a new school bus.

Herbert Braasch, 71, died at the Traer Convalescent Home on April 7.

Mr. & Mrs. Leonard Brubaker are parents of a daughter born April 8.

Sgt. & Mrs. James Stone of Tripoli, Lybia are parents of a daughter born April 2.


APRIL, 1952

On April 7 at noon Reinbeck's new administration took the oath of office which included Mayor Pete Jacobsen, Councilmen-Wayne Dake, Victor Claussen, M. J. Tandy, B.E. Hunter and Ralph Dirks.

Wm. Knaack, 37, was severely burned 3 weeks ago and has submitted to skin grafting.


APRIL, 1942

Robert Fabricius, formerly of Reinbeck and Ruby Gately of Sommerville, Tenn. were married on March 18.

Henry Goettsch, 65, lost his right arm while trying to clean out a corn crusher on the Merle Cavanaugh farm.

Doris Harris became the bride of Carl Lund of Fayette on April 4.

The fire dept. was called to the Methodist Church to extinguish a small fire in the basement.
