One & only you, an educational series on coping with grief & mourning

Cedar Valley Hospice, Abels & French-Hand Funeral Homes and Grundy County Memorial Hospital are pleased to announce a community educational series to be held the second Tuesday of the month, April through September from 6:30 8 p.m. This six part educational series "One and Only You!" will be held in the Education Room at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital, 201 East J Avenue, Grundy Center. Please enter by door #3 on the West side of the building and greeters will direct you to the room. This event is free and open to the public.

Seminar topics are as follows:

April 10: Introduction to the Grief Process A panel discussion featuring local experts on the spiritual, emotional and physical impact of grief.

May 8: Cooking for One with Wendy Brewer, Dietitian and Chef Woody, both of Grundy County Memorial Hospital.

June 12: The Benefits of Exercise for Combating Stress Chris Wiedman, Manager, Physical Therapy Department, Grundy County Memorial Hospital.

July 10: Coping with Sleep Disturbance & Fatigue presented by Dawn Phillips of Midwest Sleep Services, Waterloo.

August 14: When to See the Doctor by Dr. Charles LaTendresse, M.D. and Dave Stefl of Manly Drug.

September 11: Money, Money, Money! for coping with finances/estates following a death with Kirby Schmidt of Heronimus Schmidt & Allen of Grundy Center.
