The Student Tech Committee at Gladbrook Reinbeck High School has been introduced to a new program called virtual reality. This program was introduced by the principal, Mr. Leeman, and has been used by other surrounding schools.
Virtual reality is a technology program that allows presentations to be given in a 3D way, enabling engagement in the learning process. This program has many special features, including the use of texture, color, and shapes. If the G-R Schools begin using virtual reality, it could ultimately eliminate the use of generic models and graphs.
It would also help the school become more environmentally friendly, limiting the use of paper products. Currently, Mr. Leeman is offering a pilot course, allowing students to use the program and discover its possibilities. Depending on the success of its use, virtual reality could be a program that is continually used at G-R for years to come.
