Everyone survived our New Years Eve party which is always a fun time.
On the 3rd Gregg & Mary Lou Moser came and helped us take down all of our Christmas decorations. It takes awhile to get used to not having the decorations around. The Mosers are always willing to help us out.
The UCC Circle met here on the 5th and that is a good group and later we did a large crossword puzzle that really gets us thinking.
Donna Peters, Barb Winterroth and Ann Rae Billerbeck treated us to fritters on the 8th. It is a big hit around here.
Rosie Moser's 90th birthday was on the 11th. I think she partied all week long and on the 14th she treated all of us, plus family and friends at Westview, to cake and ice cream. Many more birthdays Rosie.
We were busy on the 16th. Charlene Manlick came and polished a lot of nails at 1:00 and then exercised at 2:00 and Janet Schildroth comes for a fun bible study at 2:30.
On the third Wednesday the book club meets here at 4 and 7 p.m. Please feel free to join them.
On the 23rd Sugar and Spice entertained us and then everyone enjoyed a soup supper.
Some of our regular things we do each month are at 8:30 every day we gather around the coffee table to sip and chat while we wait for the mail to get here. Char does nails at 1:00 on Mondays, exercises on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 2:00 p.m. We play cards at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Feel free to come and join us. We do bingo, sing-a-longs, large cross word puzzles and we look forward to our night out on the town and watch a movie on Saturday afternoons.
Come and check out our calendar for activities. We have some fun things coming up for the rest of February. In March Iowa Hospice will be holding meetings here on the first Friday of every month at 2:30 p.m. starting on March 2nd. It is called Caregivers Corner, providing care for the caregiver. Even if you are not a caregiver at the present time, you may be looking at the future. Come join us for this. It is free.
February we are busy with fun times so watch for our news. Take care.
