The Rebels traveled to Conrad on January 17th to play the Comets. We had defeated the Comets earlier in the year by 33 points, but they would have none of that in this game. This turned into a very physical competitive ballgame in which the Rebels trailed most of the last three quarters. Some clutch steals, free throws, and baskets in the last minute of the game allowed the Rebels to come home with an 84-81 win. Even though we did not play our best basketball the Rebels hung in there and battled to get the victory. Good senior leadership and competitive attitudes put the Rebels over the top in this game!

Addi Kickbush led the scoring with 19 points. Emily Dinsdale finished with 15, which included four baskets from behind the arc. Emily Snider scored 13, as she was 8 of 11 from the line and 6 for 6 down the stretch. Paige Thompson also scored 13, Jenna Roeding 9, Britt Shinn 9, and Erin Wentzien 6.

Paige Thompson and Britt Shinn led the rebounding with 4 each. Speaking of our rebounding I only have two words, P U. We will work to improve this area! Thompson and Snider each had 5 assists and Emily also came up with 5 steals for the game.

Saturday night saw the Rebels in Cedar Falls to play the Little Panthers. The Rebels started out strong and built a 14-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was played dead even as we led 29-19 at half. The Rebels were able to build a 21-point lead in the second half and finished with a 68-51 victory. I thought we played well at times but had to many mental and physical mistakes at others. We need to become more consistent as we finish out the regular season and move into tournaments! The Rebels record is 10-4 and 7-3 in the conference play. We have a tough stretch of games coming up and need to be ready to play each night.

Emily Hinsdale led the scoring with 19 points hitting five 3's for the game. Emily Snider shot well from the free throw line as she went 8 for 10 and finished with 15 points. Paige Thompson scored 11, Jean Redoing 11, Add Kick-bush 9, Brit Shin 2, and Rachel Own 1.

Jennie led on the boards with 6 rebounds, Emily Hinsdale 5, Brit Shin 4, Erin Wentzien 3, Rachel Own 3, Emily Snider 2, Add Kick-bush 2, and Paige Thompson 2. Add and Paige each had 5 steals. Paige and Emily Snider each handed out 5 assists for the game.
