The Rebels won two ballgames last week, defeating South Hardin 94-66 and AGWSR 79-52. The Rebels only reached 2 of their 5 system goals in each of these ballgames. The Rebels are not rebounding the offensive boards very well and this is leading to lack of shots up and shot differential.
This game saw six players score in double figures with Emily Stoakes recording a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Addi Kickbush led the scoring with 16, Erin Wentzien 15, Emily Dinsdale 14, Paige Thompson 14, Emily Snider 13, and Jenna Roeding 7.
The Rebels had 25 steals for the game. Emily Stoakes had 5, Addi Kickbush 4, Paige Thompson 4, Britt Shinn 4, Erin Wentzien 3, Emily Snider 2, Jenna Roeding 2, Emily Dinsdale 1, and Britt Keller 1.
The Rebels came out fast in this one and took a 20-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Rebels increased the lead in the second quarter and went into halftime up 39-14. The third quarter was where it got ugly for the Rebels as we only put up 9 points for the quarter. This has been a problem for most of the year and is one that we must overcome. Don't be surprised in the future if the Rebels do not go to the locker room at halftime!!!
The Rebels were led in scoring by Emily Dinsdale and Jenna Roeding with 13 points each. Emily Snider finished with 11, Erin Wentzien 10, Addi Kickbush 10, Emily Stoakes 9, Paige Thompson 9, and Britt Shinn 4. Paige Thompson led us in rebounding with 6, Erin Wentzien 4, Jenna Roeding 4, Addi Kickbush 3, Emily Stoakes 3, Britt Shinn 3, Rachel Bown 2, Emily Snider 1, and Emily Dinsdale 1.
Emily Stoakes went down with a knee injury in the fourth quarter of this game. We don't know the extent of the injury or when we will have her back! We cannot replace her with one person so everyone will have to step their game up. The Rebels will have to handle this adversity and continue to do what we do!
