Reinbeck Elementary staff traveled with Teri Rokusek on Jan. 10 to Omaha to show their support as she ran the Olympic Torch in the Torch Relay.

Reinbeck man, Kenneth Scheuman died on Jan. 14 after a fall through the ice at Three Mile Lake near Creston on Jan. 8.

Reinbeck Courier moves to the other side of the building and now their address is 107 Broad st.

Mr. & Mrs. Mark Bystricky are parents of a son born Dec. 17.

Gerald Ewing, Buckingham, died Jan. 13 at Allen Hospital.

Sanford Sampson, 92, Aplington, died Jan. 13 at Maple Manor Care Center in Aplington.

Mr. & Mrs. Egbert Eckhoff celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.

Eric Greve selected to receive a Livestock Judging Team Scholarship from Hawkeye Institute of Technology.

Remmer Eckhoff remains a patient at the VA Medical Hospital.

Beulah Martens, 69, died Jan. 21 at Marshalltown Community Hospital.

Services for Leonard Soucek, 70, Traer, were held Jan. 25 at Amity Church.

Frank Chvojka, 88, Hudson, died Jan. 26 at Schoitz Hospital.

Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Storjohann will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 7.

Hook's Foods in Reinbeck announce the appointment of Vernon Eckhoff to the position of manager. Vernon has been employed at Hook's for 10 years.

Madeline Rogers, 54, died Jan. 24 at Allen Hospital.

Harry Lynch, 74, rural Beaman, died at the Grundy Hospital on Jan. 21.

Charles Paige has sold his feed stores in Dike & Zaneta to Wayne Ubben effective Feb. 2.

Mr. & Mrs. Dave Barnes of Waterloo are parents of a daughter born Jan. 21.

J.J. Mulder sold his barber shop to Willis Stickfort.

Coffman's Super Market will now give Top Gift Stamps.

Alan Paton, 51, Reinbeck, died of a heart attack on Jan. 18.

George Peters, 60, died Jan. 23. He suffered with multiple sclerosis for 27 years.

Mabel Ramsey, 73, died at her home in Cedar Rapids on Jan. 9.

Mr. & Mrs. Gary Mitchell are parents of a daughter born Jan. 23.

Mr. & Mrs. John Paige are parents of a son born Jan. 15.

Herman Beck to have closing-out sale on Jan. 29.

Utah District Judge William Hoyt sentenced Verne Braasch, 26, Reinbeck, and Melvin L. Sullivan, 23, of Kansas City, Mo. to die before a firing squad on Feb. 26, 1952.

Members of the Presbyterian Church are enjoying a new electric organ. The giver wishes to remain anonymous.

Mr. & Mrs. Emil Koupal and 2 sons of Wagner, S.D. moved back to Reinbeck.

Randy Brubaker, 3, son of Mr. & Mrs. Russell Brubaker suffered 2nd & 3rd degree burns on his shoulders when hot milk was spilled on him.

Doris Mason of Garwin and Pvt. Olhed Niedermann, Reinbeck, were married Dec. 20 in Junction City, Kan.

Infant son of Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Robinson died Jan. 10 shortly after birth on Jan. 10.

Ralph Petersen has taken over management of the Marathon Station on Grundy Ave.

Del Cooley has been reported missing in action in the Philippine Islands.

Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Barfels are parents of a son born Jan. 12.

Mr. & Mrs. Kennedy Brown are parents of a son born Jan. 7.
