Janet Slessor , Reinbeck Courier

This year, the library received several Christmas presents. The Brockett family gave us a copy of Science Fair by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. The following four books are gifts of the Evenson, Finzen-Clapp, Mitchell-Boesen and Gordon families: a large print edition of The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks, and Thank you, Mr. Brown, and Merry Christmas by William A. Green, Song of the Stars by Sally Lloyd-Jones, and Buck Wilder's Book of Animal Wisdom (this book was mentioned in last week's Courier, but I neglected to put that it was a gift).

We also have the following large print books in memory of Joann Hamann: The Help by Kathryn Stockett, which was given from Mark & Jana Bystricky, Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich , given from Paul and Jan Ehrig and Heartwood by Belva Plain, given from the Reinbeck Woman's Club.

Other new books include: The Forgotten Affairs of Youth by Alexander McCall Smith, The Bird Sisters by Rebecca Rasmussen, The Drop by Michael Connelly, The Christmas Note by Donna VanLiere, Witch and Wizard: The Fire by James Patterson, Being George Washington by Glenn Beck, Locked On by Tom Clancy, The Angel Makers by Jessica Gregson, Waking Hours by Lis Wiehl, Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James, Seizure by Kathy Reichs, The Probability of Miracles by Wendy Wunder and Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare.

New movies on DVD are Ice Age: a Mammoth Christmas Special, The Help and Sarah's Key.
