Glen Dalbey, 54, Traer, is in serious condition at Allen Hospital with a neck injury he received in a three car accident 7 miles east of Reinbeck on Hwy 63.

Mr. & Mrs. Steve Robertson are parents of a daughter born Dec. 16.
A motion for a new trial for Jeffrey Wilson, 22, Traer, found guilty of manslaughter in a Tama Co. trial on Nov. 11.
Margaret B. Connell, 88, Grundy Center, died Dec, 13 at the Grundy Co. Hospital.
Mr. & Mrs. Wendell Storjohann of Gladbrook will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on Dec. 28.
A Reinbeck school bus driven by David Newell, 21, Reinbeck, overturned on Dec. 15, about 6 miles south of Reinbeck. The bus was traveling on a muddy road and the back wheels slipped into the ditch and the bus rolled over. The most serious injury to the 28 students on board was a broken collar bone.
Mr. & Mrs. Arnold Schweiger purchased the Wayne Cook property on the corner of Blackhawk and Randall for a price of $6,000.

Russell Walton, 26, Dysart, is reported in fairly good condition after his semi-truck collided with a Chicago-Northwestern freight train, 6 miles east of Reinbeck. Ferne and Raleigh Robertson were behind the truck and saw the accident.
Elvin Boege, Reinbeck, won a 1962 Mercury Meteor 4 door sedan in national promotional sweepstakes sponsored by Lincoln Mercury Division.
Dr. John Thompson has closed his dental office and has accepted a staff position with the Vets Hospital in Des Moines.
The cornerstone for the new Reinbeck Community Elementary building was laid on Dec. 14.

Marts Motor Co. to cease business on Jan. 1 as announced by B.L. Marts, Marts has leased the two story building to Art Gehringer of Iowa Falls who has secured the franchise for a Chevrolet agency.
In a deal completed this week, Wayne Schmidt purchased the Mettlin Dairy from Prentiss Mettlin. The deal included equipment, business and building. Prentiss has purchased an interest in the R.H. Motor Co., selling Dodge and Plymouth cars and will replace Ben Graves as salesman.
J.J. Mulder has sold their house to Mr. & Mrs. Robert Morrison for $9,500.
Seventy-two men were drafted in 191 along with 57 enlistments.
Edna Aswegan and Edwin Sebekow were married on Dec. 16.

North Tama farmer, Don Mitchell, was attacked by the herd bull of his holstein herd. Don suffered a sprained ankle, two fractured ribs and a bruised leg.
Pete & Newt Westergaard will take over the management of W.W. Wagner's Gym this winter.
Marshall Henry Willert, water commissioner and Martin Juhl, will divide the duties of night watchman for the winter months.
Albert Bros, sold 178 dressed turkeys at top market price which will bring about $900.
Thomas Parkhouse, 57, Traer, was struck by an auto driven by Kenneth Staveley. Parkhouse died almost instantly.
