GLADBROOK - Colby Luethje's 2-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted the Gladbrook-Reinbeck football team to a 21-18 victory over Hudson in a Class 1A District 4 clash at The Pit.
Luethje also caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Parker Bolt early in the fourth quarter and the two-point conversion pass as well to help the Rebels (6-1, 4-1) erase Hudson's 15-7 lead.
The Gladbrook-Reinbeck defense held the Pirates (3-4, 3-2) out of the end zone on the first possession of overtime, allowing only a 22-yard Cameron Wright field goal, before the Rebel offense finished off the come-from-behind win.
Chase Clark had a career-high 127 yards rushing and a 3-yard touchdown that gave G-R an early 7-2 lead. Bolt finished 12-for-28 for 170 yards in the windy conditions, with Cobren Bird hauling in five catches for 73 yards.
Brady Billerbeck paced the Rebel defense with 13 tackles, including 1.5 for loss, and one of G-R's four interceptions of Hudson QB Cale Henke passes.
