Free basic medical care

The ACE-SAP Clinic (Allen Community Engagement-Salvation Army Program), located at the Salvation Army, 207 Logan Ave., will offer a free clinic for routine healthcare on Thursdays, Oct. 13, 20 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Free basic healthcare will be offered, along with free cholesterol checks with results in five minutes. To receive accurate screening results, participants must fast-eating nothing and drinking only water-for at least eight hours before the test. Students in the Allen College medical laboratory health sciences program will conduct the clinic under the direction of Allen College faculty members. The clinic is offered as part of the Allen College service-learning program.
