The local Ostfriesen Heritage Society (OHS) will be hosting a German Tour Group on Sunday, September 11 and Monday, September 12. Eielt Jurgens from Leer, Germany will be leading the tour. Thirty-nine travelers will be touring with his group.
On Sunday, September 11 at approximately 6:00 PM, there will be a Cemetery Walk at the Wellsburg Reformed Church Cemetery in Wellsburg which will include an Ostfriesen Family Story/Skit.
Following the Cemetery Walk at 6:30 PM, the OHS group will host an open house reception for the group at the Wellsburg Reformed Church. All OHS members and friends are welcome to join in the fun. A light meal will be served with Ostfriesen Tea and Kluntje. Call 319-824-5502 for more information.
The Wellsburg Reformed Church is located at 617 East 4th St., Wellsburg, IA. The church is handicapped accessible by using the east entrance.
