Free small business workshop

August 13, 2011
Reinbeck Courier

The Grundy County Development Alliance will be sponsoring a small business workshop on Wednesday, August 17th from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Grundy Center Community Center. Guest speaker, Morgan Leu Parkhurst, CEO of Sharp Mind Marketing, will present on how to "Stop Being a Best-Kept Secret." Parkhurst will challenge business owners to think outside the box while explaining different ways they can get their name out in a noisy marketplace, regardless of budget. This free-of-charge, 60-minute workshop will make a huge impact on your business by teaching business owners how to put their marketing puzzle together one piece at a time.

Having started her first business when she was just 21, Parkhurst knows what it's like to be "in the trenches" as a business owner. Infusing the lessons she has learned about what it really takes to succeed in business, she formed Sharp Mind Marketing. Her reports, podcasts, videos, coaching programs, and classes have inspired other entrepreneurs to build their businesses and find their ideal customer. For more information on Sharp Mind Marketing and the guest presenter, go to www.sharpmindmarketing.com.

Business owners around Grundy County are encouraged to attend this free-of-charge business seminar and are to R.S.V.P. by Monday, August 15th to the Grundy County Development Alliance by either calling 319-825-3606 or emailing gcdall@gcmuni.net. Please contact Kelly Riskedahl, Executive Director, at the Grundy County Development Alliance with any questions.
