Dolores (Dee) Darlene Hammond Davis passed on May 5, 2011 in Citrus Heights, Calif. Dee was born July 18, 1951 in Hampton, Iowa the first child and only daughter of Mark Lincoln and Ethel Mae (Saltou) Hammond. Dee graduated high school in Reinbeck, with the class of 1949, or the 49ers, and attended the University of Iowa, majoring in English Literature. She was a long time realtor in San Jose and Yuba City, Calif. and a prolific reader. She found joy in her grandchildren and her life revolved around her family, exemplifying the meaning of unconditional love.

Dee is survived by her three children, Lorinda Gebers Hastings of Springfield, Ore., David Pope of Folsom, Calif. and Lisa Pope Padilla of Citrus Heights, Calif., 11 grandchildren, a great grandchild, 2 brothers Mark from Sunnyside, Wash. and David from Browns Valley, Calif. and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son.

Dee will be laid to rest with her mother and grandmother in Reinbeck. A memorial service was held on May 21, at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Roseville. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be sent to the Sutter VNA & Hospice, 1836 Sierra Gardens, Suite 130, Roseville, CA. 95661.

A memorial service will be held on June 25 at 11:00 a.m. at French-Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck.
