Rebels take victory over Cobras
On December 14th the young Rebels hosted the Cobras from BCLUW and came away victorious in a 53-9 win.
The first half saw the Rebels come out and force some early turnovers en route to some easy baskets and a commanding 29-3 lead at half time.
The second half saw much of the same as the Rebels continued to play good half court defense as well as trying to work on good shot selection on the offenseive end. Every player saw considerable playing time as we would win wih a final score of 53-9.

Rebels Win in Battle Against Spartans
The border war continued last Thursday as the Rebels traveled to Grundy Center to take on the always well coached Spartans.
The first quarter saw the Rebels jump off to an early lead only to see it narrowed to a 13-11 mark at the end of the stanza.
The young Rebels went as cold as the weather outside as we scored 2 point in the second quarter. Going in to the locker room the Rebels were down by nine wih a 15-24 score.
Starting the second half the Rebels came out wih intensity as we forced some turnovers while taking back the lead to end the third quarter with a 29-26 advantage.
The fourth quarter would turn out to be another G-R vs. GC battle as both teams traded leads culminating in a last second failed attempt by the Spartans. The final score saw the Rebels prevail with a 35-34 win.

Before heading into Christmas vacation, the young Rebels traveled south 8 miles to take on the Wolverines of GMG in the old gym in Garwin. GMG has just opened a beautiful new gymnasium and locker room facilities. Their old gym saw many fine teams perform in a lot of victories under the leadership of the legendary Gary Peterson.
Beginning in the first half the Rebels jumped out to a early lead and had a 13-2 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter saw all players involved in the contest while maintaining our intensity and execution. Heading to the halftime break the young G-R teams had a 26-7 edge in the contest.
Starting in the third period, the Rebels initiated some defensive tactics to slow down the game and work on some fundamentals. Again all players saw considerable action on the hardwood. When the horn sounded to end the game, the Rebels were found victorious with a 52-11 score.
