Rebels down

Before heading into Christmas vacation, the young Rebels traveled south 8 miles to take on the Wolverines of GMG in the old gym in Garwin. GMG has just opened a beautiful new gymnasium and locker room facilities. Their old gym saw many fine teams perform in a lot of victories under the leadership of the legendary Gary Peterson.

Beginning in the first half the Rebels jumped out to a early lead and had a 13-2 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter saw all players involved in the contest while maintaining our intensity and execution. Heading to the halftime break the young G-R teams had a 26-7 edge in the contest.

Starting in the third period, the Rebels initiated some defensive tactics to slow down the game and work on some fundamentals. Again all players saw considerable action on the hardwood. When the horn sounded to end the game, the Rebels were found victorious with a 52-11 score.
