Letter to the editor

Reinbeck Courier

Dear Editor,

As the holidays are fast approaching, they bring with them time with family. Coming together and enjoying the time and giving to each other unselfishly. People associated with the G-R softball program understand that we are a family: the coaching staff and wives; the parents and grandparents; and the many fans that come to our games. We have been blessed and have enjoyed a lot of support over the last several years from our communities. For that reason, the G-R Softball Family has decided to give back to our communities with our "Season of Giving" Community Service Project. It is our hope that in some small way we can bring some joy and love to some families in our communities that may be struggling during this holiday season.

In order to raise funds for our project, we will be selling Rebel Nation T-shirts with 100% of the proceeds going to our project. The Rebel Nation is students, faculty, alumni, administrators, school board members, and the residents of our towns. This shirt will give all a chance to show their Rebel Pride and give back to their communities. Order forms can be picked up at the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Schools offices, Trunck's Foods Grocery Store, any of the softball team members, and we will have a table set up at the first home basketball game. We will only be selling these until December 8th and orders will be filled for the holidays. Please support our girls as we try to give back to the communities that have so blessed us.

Thank You and Happy Holidays,

Brian Thompson and P.J. Holbach
