Three of Gladbrook-Reinbeck's six first-team selections were unanimous picks to the all-Class 1A District 4 football squad as voted on by the coaches.
Rebel seniors Logan Petersen, Taylor Harris and Tanner Hulst earned unanimous selection at their respective positions.
Petersen was the district's leading receiver?by nearly?250 yards, raching up 725 yards and?seven touchdowns on 43 receptions.
Harris and Hulst anchored a Gladbrook-Reinbeck defensive line that allowed only 1,325 yards rushing against it in 10 games this season. Hulst had 60 total tackles and led the Rebels with five quarterback sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss. Harris added 31 stops, 1.5 sacks and four tackles for loss.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck also placed offensive lineman Dalton Behounek, tight end Brady Billerbeck and running back Travis Freese on the all-district first team. Freese gained 1,068 yards and 19 touchdowns on the ground, while Billerbeck had 15 catches for 176 yards.
BCLUW tabbed two first-team selections in senior tight end Connor Case and junior linebacker Cole Thompson. Case had 16 catches for 181 yards, while Thompson had a team-best 81 tackles with two for loss.
