The coaches did an outstanding job working with these kids; teaching them the fundamentals and skills they need to get them ready for the next level, and to enjoy the game of football. The two teams combined, only gave up 3 scores the entire year! Watching these boys' techniques with each snap of the ball showed how hard they worked and the dedication of the coaching staff.
A highlight for the season gave the boys gridiron action in the UNI-Dome on September 26th against Iowa Falls teams. We also hosted the kick-off jamboree in September, where over 1,000 players and fans came to our facilities to begin their season of youth football.
Thank you's also need to be extended to the parents of these boys for helping with concessions and the field during the year! Your help makes this program possible, as well as all the uniform washings and transportation you provide to practices and games. Special thanks is extended to Todd Rickert, Mike Bengen, John Olson, Jaime Eiffler and Dan Mohlis. Their help with officiating, field set-up, and as ambulance crew for the jamboree makes our hosting of games possible. Year after year, they have faithfully helped whenever needed.
This was the 8th season for Youth Football - Great work boys!
