Katie Elizabeth See and Trent Jay Mennenga were united in marriage on July 25, 2009, at American Lutheran Church in Grundy Center, with Rev. David Turner officiating.

Parents of the couple are Rod and Karen See of Reinbeck and Jay and Connie Mennenga of Wellsburg. Grandparents of the bride are Chester and Liz Bearden of Toledo and Barbara See of Tama. Grandparents of the groom are Barbara and Andrew Aalderks of Kesley.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Jennifer Steckelberg, friend of the bride, and serving as bridesmaids were Alyson Truog, friend of the bride, Meredith O'Brien and Ashlie Joynt, friends of the couple.

The best man was Scott Mennenga, brother of the groom, and groomsmen were Adam Harms, Jesse Dennis, and Kale Joynt, friends of the groom.

Guests were ushered to their seats by Cody See, brother of the bride and Zach Mennenga, brother of the groom. Attending the guestbook was Jackie Calvert, friend of the bride and personal attendant was Amanda Manuel, friend of the bride.

An evening dinner reception and dance was held at the Community Center in Grundy Center and was hosted by Dustin & Candi Meyer, friends of the couple. The couple's wedding theme reflected the vibrant couple with bright pink and lime green decor and a unique candy buffet for guests to enjoy.

The bride is a graduate of UNI, and is currently working towards her Doctorate of Audiology at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill. The groom is a graduate of Des Moines Area Community College and employed by Blaine's Farm & Fleet as a Service Technician. Following a honeymoon cruise in Cancun and Grand Caymen, the couple is at home in Sycamore, Ill.
